Ami and her husband, Jim, began growing produce organically when their children were diagnosed with severe food allergies. Having both grown up on farms with extensive gardens, Ami says “Returning to farming was a no-brainer for us.” Today the Zumalt family proudly produces a huge variety of certified organic vegetables, fruits, herbs and cut flowers. Their delicious and nutritious offerings have been expanded through partnerships with neighbors, allowing them to provide clients with non-GMO-certified free-range brown eggs, and free-range and chemical-free beef, pork and chicken.

Ami is a founding farmer/partner and serves as The Kansas City Food Hub’s Vice President.
